Electric Swing Gates With Iroko Hardwood Full Board ~

We were instructed by our customer to upgrade their existing manual gates and replace them with a pair of hardwood electric swing gates. The customer choose a Flat Top design with the gates painted in their chosen Farrow & Ball RAL colour to match the existing features within their property.

The main objective with the upgrade was to enhance security and safety on their premises, as well as ensuring their dog had the freedom to roam their grounds and have peace of mind knowing that they were contained and protected from a busy road.

Our first noticeable challenge with the design and install was to tackle the issue of the severely sloping driveway. The pictures do not capture the true scale of the slope. This meant we had to ensure our measurements were precise to ensure the posts and ground boxes for the underground motors were installed using our lasers and xxxx

We worked around the existing gates, keeping them in place until the final moments when we were ready to hang the new gates.

You may notice the gates open outwards, as these gates do not open onto a public footpath or straight onto a main road, we had enough room to allow this action and installed extra safety photocells to prevent the gates opening if a vehicle is present.

One of our underground motors is adapted with a chain kit to enable the gate to open wider xxxx. You can see this in the above image on the right hand side leaf.
